how long does SEC take after interviews for the next step?
SEC DERA vs. Fed

the sec is a mess right now. don't go there. can't clear papers and rule making is 100% of your time
I've already accepted an offer from a 3-3 school, remote location. You think SEC is worse? Please tell me.
that's a tough choice. dc is nice location but the rule making work is miserable. sec is always hiring because of turnover. you won't get any research time, can't easily get papers cleared, and can't even take wrds data with you. it's an unhappy workplace with unhappy people

Damn. Tough choice. I'm single and I prefer DC. Thanks for your insight. I'll see how my interview goes.

if you're a rookie or foreign national they'll only offer you a fellow spot, which means you're a temp and disposable. you run the risk of going back on the market in 2 years once the contract expire with the same profile you have now. then that 3-3 teaching school won't touch you and your options are worse than those you have now

I don't understand how this link responds to my question. can you please elaborate?

Do they consider non-US citizens? Serious answer please.
