An industry resume should absolutely never be more than 1 page.

I moved from academia (AP) to industry (finance, asset management) and got my job through LinkedIn. The firm actually liked this because they didn’t have to pay a headhunter. Headhunters get a huge fee that usually scales with your starting salary. This is because it’s very hard for firms to find good matches. Headhunters are very common in this space, but LinkedIn is pretty low effort and can work out.

Just thought I should post this here to help my academic bros working on the move.
