Senior Theory Moves & Offers

non theorist here. Yariiv looks like everything that is wrong with the profession. 9 years out, no top papers, yet gets to the AER Board of editors. Ever since then gets 4 AERs while holding to the position. Seriously? are these your 'stars'?
Theorist here. I'm also puzzled by the fact that she got tenure at Caltech in 2008, with only one top five, and the rest of her publications being rather uninteresting.
I don't think she had a top 5 before getting tenured. She had a couple of field pubs. That's it. I am really curious how she got tenured at Caltech. And now she has an offer from Princeton. Princeton dinosaurs must be really desperate to replace the people they are losing.

Is Yariiv really going to Princeton?
Is Chassang leaving Princeton for NYU?

Leeat's papers are OK.
Nothing innovative, may be a little technical.
It's clear that she was able to reap the benefits of being an associate editor at AER. Good for her.How is that "good for her"? The point is, people like that make the profession look like a total joke.
