Would a normal person become arrogant if she is an AA hire by a high ranked school?Most of the AAs ive met with good placements of a racial group I won't mention have become phenomenally arrogant - even those in law and medicine and engineering.

junior theorist here - why do seniors move? what are the possible reasons other than conflict inside the department? people mentioned location, so what? they suddenly cannot stand the place that they've been for the past 6 years and are willing to go through the stressful and disruptive job search process...?

that's hard to imagine...seniors mentioned in this thread are all at top places, which just can't pay bad at all...
