   I always said this year would be worse. Only folks who said it would be better were unscrupulous advisors who wanted to keep their student RAs an additional year. The job market can and will only get monotonically worse every year.

   More than 15 academic interviews each (and a bunch of private sector interviews), all got multiple flyouts, one already got an MRM TT offer (econ-adjacent)

   Who would have fussed HRMs with connections and famous advisors to pimp out their students will do well. Not everyone is as lucky as you people

    It is much worse than I ever expected. The department expected to place me at the borderline HRM/MRM schools. I had only 5 interviews in that range (not counting Europe). We'll see about the flyouts this week.
