OP, I just had a quick look at your study. Do you know why your conclusion is wrong? Because masks work when the infected wear them. Your study assumes the virus is circulating in the air and then looks at how the mask can protect you within such an environment. We're already knew this. Only the n95 has a decent level of protection. Now if everyone wears a mask, then the numbers change quite a bit.

It becomes a political matter when there is a mandate. I, for one, refuse to wear masks, or wear it as a chin strap if some place is an/al about it.

how can it totally escape you? It’s quite obvious: liberals are (excessively) deferential to public authorities, and value looking like they care about others. Masks make them look like they care.
