Post Most of the posters don't actually know math discovered after 1904. Why do posters here venerate Terry Tao despite rarely acknowledging other top (living) mathematicians? Actually, make that 1907 since Riesz-Fischer is Theorem 11.34 in the third edition of Rudin Principles of Mathematical Analysis. I forgot that the chapter of the book--it's actually quite a mess, Rudin venerators--includes that in addition to the very basics of measure theory that appeared in Lebesgue's 1904 paper.
