The “she” there is Jerusalem. It’s talking about the way she went after other gods, like Molech, who asked them to sacrifice kids. The genre is apocalyptic, so it does get a bit wild.

That the Bible is the foundation of Western (meaning Christian) Civilization and that ordinary people are ignorant (overall) about it is not a new phenomenon. What is a new phenomenon (going on for several decades now) is not the ignorance of Christianity (meaning Catholicism) but the masssive explicit rejection and opposition to Catholicism (and therefore the Bible and of Western-Christian-Catholic Civilization) by the common people, by the elites, by the institutions, and by the civil law of the States. That is what is new.
