   I think your timeline is a bit off. They could have returned them before the judge got involved, or perhaps not have taken them in the first place. It's not like they didn't have time, or the responsibility, to look at what they were confiscating. It's hard to see how medical records, dating back long before ts term in office, fall under the scope of the warrant.

   So we're going to imprison a former president for having originals instead of copies? Is that the argument? It's hard to keep track of the moving goal posts, from nuclear codes to classified docs and now ndi irrespective of classification.

   T had over 100 classified docs in his basement and desk drawer. That's a fact.

   Again, it's only a fact they were marked classified. Ts lawyers claim he had declassified everything in his possession. The former head of the Cia admitted a formal paper trail would not be required by such declassification, so there is no legal way to refute that claim which is why the goalposts have moved to ndi irrespective of classification.

   Wrong. Not a single court filing by T's lawyers claims that the documents were declassified.

   This notion of blanket declassification is just another smoke screen. If it were true, a simple FOIA request would make all seized documents public, since declassification means declassified for everyone, not just T.

   Medical exams conducted by the WH physician are govt records, not private. And DoJ did offer to give the personal items back. Orange and the judge shot that down. You do the math.

   Among the documents seized that we know about were T's medical records and tax documents. These are not classified, nor do they belong to the government. The special master is partly to get such items returned rather than being exploited as part of a legal fishing expedition.

   Not necessarily true. POTUS medical exam is a gov doc. So are tax docs if part of a criminal investigation. And DoJ already offered to return these, but the judge disallowed it so that she would have an excuse to appoint the SM.

   40 years of medical records, that's what you are suggesting belongs to the government?

   Govt offered to give back personal items, genius. No one has said there are 40 years of medical records. You're just making stuff up now.

    Special Master is scheduled to take three months for reviewing the material, during which DOJ's investigation is halted.

    As per usual, T is desperately trying to buy time in hope an R-led House will put their thumb on the scale to squash the investigation.
