Perhaps we should create a group chat (although this forum is not ideal for this) for offer holders who will be in Frankfurt in September. I am assuming most of us will not meet a lot of people as we will mostly not be working from the office. Any ideas?
We can create a private Facebook group, there the admin shares a link to join a Whatsapp group. It seems a feasible solution. Is someone up to it?

Guys I need some guidance: I have been offered a position and I have submitted all the Documents and granted the security clearance. However I haven’t heard from them since and time is passing by as I am to start on sept 1st.
How do they send the contract? What are the next steps?
I can’t contact the residences until I haven’t signed the contract! -

I can’t contact the residences until I haven’t signed the contract!I would suggest to write asap to the HR division to receive a confirmation. They’re really nice and they can solve all your doubts. I waited as well a considerable time to receive the contract (at the time, HR used to send it via email), I guess it’s common in this time of uncertainty!

Why would you move to frankfurt?
Why not?
I mean, we will probably be working remotely for the entire duration of the programme. I don't know how many trainee will be there and whether you will have the chance to meet other members of the team you are part of, given the current situation.
Just so you know, there are lots of trainees in Frankfurt! Join the facebook group, you will see a whatsapp group link and can join the group there where people are always organising things!

what about ECB sport facilities during covid? can you go?

Guys which one is better: Johan Wolgang living hotel or apartment residenz? Is wifi signal working properly in these residences? Otherwise remote working would be hard!
Both are generally decent but unless you get one of the apartment residenz in the city centre, westend or sachsenhausen (not the ones quoted above) I'd opt for the johan wolfgang one (also called derag).
One word of advice: just stay clear of the achat living hotel close to the ECB.
