hey guys i was in the decision stage for 3 months and I got the traineership, so it doesn't matter how much you wait
Traineeship at the ECB

Which is the best department at the ECB for a macroeconomist to do the traineship?
DGE - Forecasting and policy modelling section
Why?
DG Research is better for your CV.Both are equally good on your CV. In DGR your tasks are usually limited to routine RA work. In FPM you will do more involved work that prepares you well for a Phd or central bank positions at the job market.

I, does anyone got news from the Budgeting and Controlling division? I have been in the decision stage for 20 days now and I just don't know what to do since it's my first application for the ECB. Does anyone suggest to contact the HR in these cases?
Hey there! Did you contact HR in the end? Did you get any news?
I'm in the same situation hehe.

Guys if you are in the Decision stage for more than a week it is because they already contacted another person and they are verifying that person meets the requirements and did not lie about the contracts, so you are on a waiting list. I was in several processes and they put me in the decision stage for more than a month, then got the mail where they said I was on the reserve list. For the one I got accepted, they contacted me 2 weeks after the interview, and it was the day I was put on the decision stage (now I am on the stage of contact sent). If you are not contacted already, just submit more applications, after the decision stage you will end in the reserve list if you are not contacted already.

Just asking for a friend. When one of the hiring staff gives you their E-Mail so you can contact them to speed up the selection process if you get any other job offer, is that generally a good sign or is it some common procedure? Overall, the interview went well. All questions were answered properly and the hiring staff also seemed satisfied with the answers. As I don't know how good the peer group (Traineeship DG General MP) is, I wanted to ask if anyone had the same experience and can say anything about that. Thanks!

Never happened to me.
They told me not to contact them and just wait for the feedback
