Doesn't the paper suggest that gender-diverse research teams are the best preparation for future success? Is that very shocking?
I guess that diversity is not always our strength. Admittedly causation is difficult to determine.
So most papers in econ that uses citations and coauthorship need retracted too? Science is dying now. After COVID responses, I have lost faith in science and scientists in general, this is my last straw. I feel the end of academia is coming, very soon.
Good grief

The end is already there.
Science today = Enforcing political correctness and "diversity" by promoting lies. Academia is just about hypocrisy and virt.ue sign.alling nowadays. It is d1sgusting.
This is from the statement.
Simply being uncomfortable with the conclusions of a published paper, would and should not lead to retraction on this basis alone. If the research question is important, and the conclusions sound and valid, however controversial, there can be merit in sharing them with the research community so that a debate can ensue and a range of possible solutions be proposed. In this case, the conclusions turned out not to be supported, and we apologise to the research community for any unintended harm derived from the publication of this paper.
The paper was retracted because it reached the incorrect conclusion. The standard of research for papers who reach the wrong conclusion are impossible to meet. If the paper had the opposite conclusion it would never have been retracted.
