For those interested there's a certain former macros lady Twitter loon currently cancelling Jeff for speaking on a panel that doesn't have enough womxn......
Awesome. 2021
I need to be more diligent, but it's frustrating to see suggestions that I'm insensitive to issues of inclusion and diversity.
This is Wooldridge cancelling himself by giving in to the wokes. He shouldn't be saying he should be more diligent! He shouldn't give in to the mob because he was on an all-male panel.
Making a mistake that was insensitive or non-inclusive doesn't mean that you are defined as being insensitive or non-inclusive. It sucks to be called out, but just apologize, learn from it, and do better next time.
@TrishaShrum
LOL @ this nobody giving a lecture to Wooldridge. Absolute cringe.
"when you co-author with women or mentor female graduate students you also benefit from their labor. How do you support women when you have nothing to gain from their success?"
LOL.
If you work with women phd students: youre a saxist and abusing their labor
if you dont work with women phd students: youre a saxist and actively discriminating them

Dr. Wooldridge is willing to help and work with you, be on your committee without expectation. Of course there could be a benefit but that is not why he helps. He supported me as a grad student and even now as a researcher. He gained nothing from helping me. This is crazy.

May I suggest you delete this tweet and repost to make your point without also calling me “crazy”. It’s a tired trope to call women who speak up for change “crazy” and it certainly isn’t helpful.
WTF is wrong with people

Reminds of a comment on the Seminar Dynamics Collective paper:
"no matter what the sign, any difference is always harmful to women: there are a mean of about 30 questions per seminar, women are on average asked about 3 more than men. This bad, apparently, because women are questioned more. If the opposite sign had been found, it would've been bad because women are interacted with less."

She is actually insane. I have constantly seen her posts on my timeline advocating for more lockdowns, masks, etc. I never bothered to look because I thought it was just some random crazy person but the fact she is a card carrying academic economist worries me deeply.

I don't think it is most women, just a fraction that are unhinged but not many people are willing to speak up.
10 years ago I thought it was crazy to think having women in academia would be a bad thing
Now I realize they singlehandedly destroyed it by making everything about emotion/fairness and not about seeking truth
