That's what we need right now, CIA Mike.
US WOULD get involved 'militarily' if China invaded Taiwan
-
"In the Joint Communiqué, the United States recognized the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, acknowledging the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China."
How can PRC then invade Taiwan? It seems that Taiwan is a territory that lawfully belongs to PRC. How does one justify military action in this case?

People don’t seem to understand that the US used the word “acknowledge” for a very specific reason. The US recognizes that China claims Taiwan, but it doesn’t actually accept it.

Won't happen, US is all bark no bite against other developed countries.
US is like that bully in the schoolyard that picks on some skinny small undeveloped boy, with a history of dousing poison gas on their victims. But when the BBC, or in this case the BCC comes, comes the US covers away and says we should use words not our fists to settle disputes.
