But you’re competing with guys who make a lot of money and usually don’t have PhD’s. A high IQ girl should be able to appreciate that. Also, working on a non-BS PhD means having high income potential, so unless she wants you to buy her a Ferrari right now, your PhD should be a positive signal for a marriage-oriented date. I never went after the hot but low IQ trophy wife types, so I never had problems of the sort that you described.
