Congrats, well done!
Dear :
I am very pleased to let you know that your paper, [....], has been accepted for presentation at the 2023 Western Finance Association Meetings. This is a significant accomplishment since there were 2,477 papers submitted and we were only able to accommodate 152 papers on the program, a remarkable selectivity rate of 6.2%. Congratulations!
The conference will take place June 25-28, 2023 Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, CA. The preliminary program will be available in a few weeks at:
http://westernfinance.org/conference
Important: If either you or any of your co-authors are unable to present the paper at the meetings, please let me know no later than May 20, 2023. Similarly, if your paper has been accepted for publication, I would appreciate if you would let us know. If I don’t hear from you by the 29th, I will be assume that you or your co-authors have committed to present your paper at the meetings.
Please login on to https://westernfinance-portal.org and select "Manage Papers." There you can ensure that paper title and author information is correct and sensibly formatted (e.g., not all caps, author order is correct). To update the PDF copy of your paper (and, in particular, a version that lists the authors), please do so prior to April 10. You may, of course, update your paper as needed after that date. However, as a courtesy to the discussant, please plan to present the version of your paper that is current as of May 19 (i.e., one month before the conference).
You may wish to start making your travel arrangements and book your hotel room soon. Shortly, we will let you know when the hotel information and conference registration information is available at http://westernfinance.org/conference .
Congratulations again! I hope to see you in San Francisco in June. -
Isnt it a week too soon? The website said it will be out by the end of March.
Yeah... that plus the email saying to confirm by May 20 (instead of March 20?) sounds very sus. But probably it's just me not waiting to accept that my paper has been rejected lol.
Rejection will be out by the end of March...
