I am very pleased to let you know that your paper, Measuring Regulatory Complexity, has been accepted for presentation at the 2023 Western Finance Association Meetings. This is a significant accomplishment: over 2,000 papers were submitted, and we were only able to accommodate 144 papers on the program. Congratulations!
We plan to hold the meetings (in person) from Sunday, June 25 to Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, CA, with sessions on Monday the 26 through Wednesday, June 28. The preliminary program will be available in a few weeks at http://westernfinance.org/conference/.
If neither you nor your co-authors are able to come to Portland and present the paper, please let me know immediately (and no later than Monday, March 20, 2023). Similarly, if your paper has been accepted for publication, we would appreciate it if you would let us know. If we don’t hear from you by Thursday, we will assume that you or your co-authors have committed to presenting your paper at the meetings.
Please login on to https://westernfinance-portal.org and select "Manage Papers." There you can ensure that the paper title and author information is correct and sensibly formatted (e.g., not all caps, author order is correct). Also, update the PDF copy of your paper (and, in particular, a version that lists the authors). Please do this now so we are ready when the program is posted. You may, of course, update your paper subsequently as needed. However, as a courtesy to the discussant, please plan to present the version of your paper that is current as of May 25 (i.e., one month before the conference).
Congratulations again! I hope to see you in San Francisco in June.

2023 Program ChairWow. I would hate to have to discuss that paper. My condolences to whoever gives in to the appeal of another “WFA” on their CV.
