   In Bulgaria you can generally get a gun permit, but it is very difficult, a pain in the a//s//s, and it is not cheap.

   So over my life I have used home made lead knuckles, knives, and metal bars to resolve disputes with people who do not wish me well.

    I have essentially never locked my doors

    My kids had a bike stolen once (left outside a restaurant with no lock) about six years ago and that's my brush with crime. Bike was found abandoned in the woods two weeks later.
