What would the U.S. manufacture and who would do that.

Suppose for some reason, the U.S. manufacture sector picks up. What do you think the U.S. would manufacture? I don't think it would be shoes, T-shirts, toys. Maybe cars, machines?

Also, who will go to factories and actually do the physical production? I do not think many students picture themselves standing by the streamlines. Or maybe there are many people who would like to do that.
