   Americans will usually admit that baseball is boring. Because it is. There's not much actual action and the scoring is random. Baseball is liked because it's an American historical/cultural thing and some people just enjoy the structure of the game... But if you don't just kind of innately enjoy it you wont ever enjoy it.

   Soccer is also boring as shit where 90% of the game is irrelevant passes that lead to nothing and the other 10% is attempts at kicks that fly wide right of the massive ass goal*.

   *That's another thing, why is everyone so f**king bad? The goal is f**king huge. How do they fail so damn horribly all the time? It'd be like if every other shot in basketball was a horrible airball.

   Top flight soccer is pretty damn entertaining (reminder: MLS is not top flight). If you can't appreciate the skill and technique you're not a sports fan period. Where it gets boring is at the lower levels, where lousy players/teams hack down opponents or the refs lose control. Much like any other sport. Except baseball, baseball just plain sucks. And curling.

   Basketball is the most boring sport for me because nothing of significance can happen and so there is no tension. A player can do the most amazing play in the world and its still only worth 2 or 3 points over the course of the game, and the next team will score another basket 30 seconds later. There are no highs or lows, its just flat.

   Football (soccer) is good because goals mean so much - there is a huge amount of tension when the ball is around the box, because a single goal will completely change the game. Sports which have scorelines like 46-42 dont have this and they are dull, in my opinion

   also there is no passion in American sports crowds, and franchising makes the game completely soulless (although football has sadly been moving in this direction for the last 20 years, it still retains enough of its original spirit to be tolerable).

   I'm an American soccer fan and I think it is much more beautiful than American football and basketball. When a good attack comes together, even if it doesn't end in a goal, it is still a sight to behold.

    All sports have dull moments. But if we restrain ourselves to the top flight games of each sport, I think that few sports (tennis, perhaps) can beat soccer when it comes to excitement and display of talent.

    But nothing can be more boring than Formula One and the likes. But some will say thatF1 is just car industry lab in disguise.

    In games which aren't close, sure. But basketball consistently produces tight finishes in which some heroics are required to win a game. Buzzer-beaters and last-minute, game-swinging plays abound. Given that the margin of victory in a typical basketball game is only a few possessions, each missed or made shot is usually imbued with real significance.

    If the coordination in soccer gets you so worked up the ballet is going to blow your mind. At least there you don't have to worry about closeted self-loathing slumballers pretending they're tough guys and biting each others penises. If dancing and movement is what you love why confuse things?

    I understand why you think soccer/football/futball is boring. It's mostly a guy, jogging, then making a short pass, ad nauseum.

    Here's a tip for liking football: instead of watching the man with the ball, look exclusively at the other players for 30 seconds. Watch their movement. Let's be gay and say they're like birds. Now go back and watch the guy with the ball. You should now be more aware of the formations the attackers are making, and the way they're trying to break the defence down. That's a lot more interesting than watching a guy jogging with the ball.
