Yes. At the current rate we would be getting close to herd immunity by fall just based on natural infections. Adding in the vaccine we should get there by the summer.
What? We've had 24 million infections in a year. That's nowhere near enough for herd immunity.
Because many people are never tested, the true infection rate is 2 to 3 times that number. We also have about 6 million new positive tests per month. So at this rate by the fall there would be about 75 million total people who have tested positive, which would imply 150 million to 200 million infected.
