I am in a dilemma. My paper has been accepted by a good journal but all the 4 referee reports are so positive and full of praise of the paper that I am seriously considering withdrawing it from the journal that accepted it and sending to an even better journal. Any suggestions?
Withdrawing an accepted paper

Actually the referees gave positive reports because they don't want to see this paper coming anywhere near their desk again. You don't deserve anymore than what you have got. Try a better journal and you will continue to be shafted around. You are really stupid.

Sad but true: your papers are your hos and you need to pimp them to keep them working their hardest for you. Sling that ass! Talk it up, tell 'em how it will make them feel good and solve problem X that has troubled them. Encourage them to see that ho/paper as flexible and able to become whatever they want from it.
Hard to do in 2-3 short paragraphs, but when I started pimping my papers, I started having more success.

Seriously dude: No. Don't do it. It is considered so rude that you will pay a steep price. Journals live for occasionally getting a better-than-average paper. So what? If you withdraw and get any of those refs at another journal, they will likely mention the case to the editor who will desk reject you. And so on at the next journal. Meanwhile, you will have earned yourself a nasty little reputation.
Just suck it up and move on.

4 reports? Obviously the editor thinks you are such an idiot she couldnt believe the first two, sent for another, couldnt believe that one, then sent for another. At that point it was too difficult for her to reject. Yes, please, withdraw the paper and send it elsewhere. hahahhahaahha

If your paper is very good and published in a good journal as you say, then be sure that it will make the impact you hope for regardless of the ranking of the journal. Many papers made big impact even though, looking back, they could have been published in much better journals.
Don't make mistakes that you will regret. If you do this, next time you may not able to publish in this "good" journal as you call it.

4 referees? Good lord, which journal was that? I thought 3 are the maximum.

idiots.
if you are asked to review a paper you have to judge that paper and stop.
if previously you did the same for another journal and now you are annoyed by the author, then you should not take this in consideration. if you are not able to do this, then you are in conflict of interest.
