   I had emailed a senior Harvard prof to register for his course. After initially ok-ing it he suddenly emailed that I shouldn't reg. He had creepily googled me, found my *personal website* and barred me on its basis. Just another day of being discriminated as a woman of color here

   Her website is not woke. It's a totally normal website for a striving, ambitious, and fairly conformist young woman at an elite institution. Is that bad? Yeah, it's not great. But you cannot avoid students like that.

    Never, ever, ever let someone take your course if they are not a student in economics. You are just asking for trouble.

    Dealing with arrogant people who are largely on the spectrum is hard. But dealing with a different kind of arrogant person at the same time is impossible.

    Maybe a professor who is giving a class on AI? If I were working on AI and someone like her who has a paper titled "Feminist Critiques of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare in India" wanted to take my class, I would be li/vid.
