At this point, do you guys think that we are selected for the panel interview/ assessment based on just our HireVue interview? Or LOR, CV, Short Essay, work-experiences combined?
I think it will be a combination of all those things

They will look at all of them during the technical review, based on the Program Manager (Youtube video - Behind the Mission: Young Professionals Program (WBG YPP))

Malpass says that the fossil fuel didn't participate to the climat change.
So they will probably accept only those who think thé same way
Will having graduated from not so fancy university in your home country (least developed) effect negatively to the application? I have heard that they prefer harvard graduates over othersYes
Hi, I do not think anyone could give you a clear answer to your question except insiders from the YPP. But if I were you I would rest on the fact that it's not only about Eve league degrees but relevant experience, recommendations, and other qualifications that can make your candidacy successful.
for what it's worth, know that there are a lot of young professionals from the Least developed countries that have been educated in prestigious universities in Europe and the United States.
I would also add that it's not so much the ivy league school that matters, but just going to a prestigious school to begin with is an indicator of talent and being smart. But the things you did when you went to the school probably matter more than the school itself
Stop stressing people. No one will hear such a thing in September.

Article | WORLD BANK YPP – FINAL PANEL INTERVIEW
"The candidates invited for this phase will receive an e-mail asking them to provide preferences for the interview day from a group of available time slots. After that, the interview team will send a confirmation with the final interview date and time.
The questions are similar to the ones asked in the digital interview, combining behavioral and technical questions. For this one, however, expect higher-level technical questions! Nevertheless, keep in mind that in a synchronic interview with real recruiters, other aspects of the candidate might be evaluated, such as posture, intonation, level of stress, among others.
There are various ways to conduct a selection interview. The World Bank YPP uses a semi-structured interview combining different methods, which are the traditional, brain teaser and the behavioral event interview. This interview is generally conducted by a panel of three (3) World Bank specialists and seeks to analyze technical and behavioral aspects and the candidate’s problem-solving capacity. Candidates should bear in mind that the three main competencies sought by the World Bank are client orientation, professional expertise and team leadership.
The World Bank YPP interview seeks to evaluate:
1. The candidate’s knowledge in their area of expertise;
2. The candidate’s knowledge of the World Bank’s other operational areas;
3. The candidate’s competencies;
4. The candidate’s problem-solving capacity;
5. The candidate’s cultural fit with the organization."
