Has anyone heard for the next steps after HireVue?
yes
I just recieved an email with instruction for the panel interview. can't tell more as they said on the email we can't disclose any informations.
why don't you capture the info and show us.
It looks like i've seen ur id since the beginning saying that you know some people who already got invitations to panel interview after their hirevue. -
Will having graduated from not so fancy university in your home country (least developed) effect negatively to the application? I have heard that they prefer harvard graduates over others
Yes
Hi, I do not think anyone could give you a clear answer to your question except insiders from the YPP. But if I were you I would rest on the fact that it's not only about Eve league degrees but relevant experience, recommendations, and other qualifications that can make your candidacy successful.
for what it's worth, know that there are a lot of young professionals from the Least developed countries that have been educated in prestigious universities in Europe and the United States.Well it is clearly stated that they look at excellent academic background but i guess a combination of all traits such as relevent work experience, expertise and etc matters

Exactly, academic excellence! Which turns to be perceived as strongly correlated with attending the só called prestigious school.
Not fair for a talented and equally capable peer who only relies on opportunities to prove his worth, who lacked finances, connections, privileged information, early mentoring that well off kids take for granted.

Agree! Therefore, I believe it is better to believe what they say, don't you think? Moreover, many YP were not from Ivy League!
They have stated in two videos for the YPP in YouTube broadcasted two and three year ago, respectively, that there is no bias in favor of ivy league or whatsoever. Therefore, everybody has his chance!
They cannot say otherwise either.

Does not really matter what I believe. But whatever rocks your boat!

1. There is no bias towards Ivy League. Look at profiles of candidates on LinkedIn and you will see that there is a very wide mix of talent from all types of universities on all continents starting from Africa to Asia to Latin America etc.
2. No interview invites have been released. Ignore the trolls.
3. The Bank is more interested in your experience, expertise and what you bring to international development work.

What is the average age of incoming YPs?
Most are between 27-30.
How do you know?
And are you unlikely to get hired if you’re 27? I heard they will choose older candidates since they know you’ll reapplyI read that too... I think in this very thread lol.. I don't remember
