If you interviewed and have gotten a request for reference check, volod. If you have interviewed but have not heard back since then, vlad.

What does it mean that they said they wont contact your references even though they asked for names after the interview?
Strange. They asked referees to a fraction of people only, and so far called only part of the people who sent the referees.
ALso, we have ppl here who interviewed 1 month ago, 1 week ago, 2 months ago...
hard to say

Hi everyone!
Here's my current experience with the YPP. I got interviewed in December in DC. Before the group exercise, we were told we would get asked for extra references either that day o the following one (it seemed as if everyone was getting that request). After those days, I didn't receive anything. I had a friend interviewing the day after me, and she told me all of her group was asked for extra references before the group exercise (which is weird because they weren't even assessed or interviewed). A few days after my interview, one person from my group got asked for extra references. At this point, I was extremely confused, so I sent an email. They told me that candidates wouldn't be contacted at the same time and that they may ask for references (or not). I replied, mentioning all I knew from other candidates and how confusing the process was, and they told me to 'feel free to send the references information if I wanted to' (this was right before the holiday break). I didn't send anything since they didn't give me any guidance (such as the number of referees or the type of information they needed). I asked again about that information, and they told me that if they didn't ask me for extra references, is because they didn't need to.
Of course, I'm assuming that I didn't move forward, but I just feel very frustrated with how they communicate the steps for this process and how they just give different information to every candidate. In addition, they can't even spell my name correctly in the emails.
Wishing good luck to everyone that's still in this process!

Wishing good luck to everyone that's still in this process! Also, I feel it's dumb for them not to update unsuccessful candidates right after the interview if they already know they will not move forward. They just keep us thinking there's a small chance of being chosen, when they knew right from the beginning that we weren't going to be selected.

Thank you for sharing; you are doing the right thing to help all of us who are left clueless about how they're handling this global recruitment process. May I ask if you remember the GP of your group member who received the request for additional references? Also, if you know the GPs of those who you said were requested for extra references prior to the panel interview & assessment centre?

I was commenting on one email chain that I exchanged with them about the topic where I was not aggressive nor tried to intimidate them, and therefore by no means constitutes harassment. You're right, patience is a virtue, and it also is being kind to other people.
