Definitely not over yet - they are still trying to match people. Those who have received the offer and signed their contract are invited to the briefing but there will be a recording shared later. Its not over, please sit tight and maybe get a pizza ( or whatever).

I saw some songs in the thread so let me add to it:
"No patience, I've had enough
Spent too much time through these phases
It's just not addin' up
Felt all alone on those stages
Wanna get my passion up
It's over, pack it up
Don't walk away from me
When the night falls, yeah, make the right call
Or she'll be gone foreverNeed a little space to slow the brain
I don't really wanna feel the pain
Seen a lot of shit to make me hate
I don't wanna hide until it's too late
Feels like I'm gonna break."Hang in there, y'all. You are almost at the end of the cycle. Offers are expected to be finalised this week with rejections following shortly thereafter. Until you hear back, you are still in the running.

I wrote to the HR. They said that the "match making" is still going on.
Considering this and the vacation, I reckon the process will stretch for another 2 weeks. -
I am one of those who is realizing the actual meaning of "Slip between cup and the lip" With every passing day the gap is widening into a chasm. This was my third and last shot at WB YPP. I was very hopeful when I received e mail on May 13 of having passed the interview and files being circulated to various GPs but since then there has been a complete radio silence from WB. I had failed the interview on previous two occasions. I am now losing hope as well. May be I am not made of the stuff that WBG is looking to recruit. Re aligning oneself for a different career path post 32 yrs is easier said than done. I have been a regular on this forum and had also closely followed this forum for previous two cohorts. There are few things amiss this year.
1. Every year once interview results were declared there were flurry of activities from successful candidates especially when offers (LOI) were made. But this year it was little subdued. Only two persons mentioned receiving email and few jabs (could be just for fun)
2. LOI is generally followed up by background check which requires filling up forms by the candidates. No mention of LOI or background check by any candidate this year. Once final offers made the candidates generally do not mind giving out their profile and also form separate private group to discuss relocation, onboarding and also to know each other better. No such thing this year
3. Several people mentioned contacting WB HR and apparently being told that GPs are still finalizing the offers. Someone even mentioned that there will be online briefing of IFC, MIGA and WB YPP candidates (who have received offers) on Aug 4. But to me it’s not logical for HR to have piecemeal briefing for candidates, when all offers have not yet been made. The pandemic has enforced less physical attendance of staff at office and majority are working from home. This could be the reason for the slow progress of YPP recruitment. Due to pandemic status, Visa and travel restrictions the 2021 cohort is certainly not expected to move to DC in near future and would probably work remotely like 2020 cohort. In that case the logistics workload of HR team is greatly reduced. So they would ideally wait for all offers to be finalized before briefing the final team. I wonder how much of the information given in this forum is speculation/ troll.
4. Majority are speaking about information received from friend or known persons. Statistically it’s not possible that not a single successful candidate is active on this forum or exists as only silent observer. Unless of course they have been sworn to some sort of “Omerta” by WB HR team (Not likely at the final stages)
I may be trying to read too much between the lines to find some ray of hope for self and also for people who are in similar dilemma. Sorry for such a long post. -
Hey - I am sorry there is such opacity in the process and you feel uninformed. I have received an offer and can confirm the following:
1. Post the LOI email , candidates were asked to fill a form for the background check. After which, we received LOAs or formal offer letters with no information about which practice or GP we will be joining.
2. The joint briefing session for IFC, WB and MIGA was recorded and will be circulated among new joinees as and when the list is finalized.
3. This year, because the process was so delayed, the list of candidates was circulated among senior management at a time when the fiscal year was closing and people were going away on their annual leave which can extend by a month - extending the period through which the matches were made.
4. Matches are still being made because of this delay, and dont lose hope until you get a final email that they have stopped the process and are unable to find a position for you.
5. On why candidates have been silent - I personally have been a silent observer despite receiving an offer a couple of days ago. I think given the confidentiality agreement during the final assessment, I dont feel comfortable giving out personal details on a public form at this point. Dont know why the others are keeping silent but thats my reason.Hope this helped and all the best to you!

Sorry for such a long post. The reason you are not hearing much is that the YPPs who already have an offer have a Whatsapp group where they are communicating and hence have no reason to stay here.

I am sorry to hear this, I hope you will get an offer. For me too, the 2020 application was my third shot but as opposed to you, I was only shortlisted the first time I applied but I failed the interview. The two following years I didn’t even make it through the first round, which didn’t make any sense at all as if anything, my profile improved as I gained more experience.
