World Bank YPP 2021

If they are aiming for April interviews / Assessment Centers and plan on giving people a 4-week heads up, they have to send those emails by the end of next week... How else?
They won't give you 4 weeks to prepare. Assumingly you should have been prepared for the interview/assessment if you are serious with your application to WBG YPP (Plus all those extra months of waiting--> you already had too much time to prepare). My guess is they'll give you 1 week at best.

Does anyone know what the pay scale is for YPP at the World Bank?
It's a GF grade post so from 91.5k(low) to 169.9k(high) with a midpoint of 130.7k, based on the WBG 2020 compensation review and depending on qualifications and experience
that’s a lot of money for an institution which aims for equality and poverty reduction. Who does need 91k for a living???

Maybe to work in DC, it is just adequate for the cost of livingston.

Agreed. But if they pay less than that, they will only attract lemons.

April is the last month to conduct the final stage but it would be worse from the PR standpoint than March for the World Bank. They must still think about that aspect despite the negative impression that was already created. If they aim to start the interviews / ACs in March and will give people 7 days or so of notice, they have to send out the emails by mid-March latest, possibly earlier.

because at the end of the day they still have to be competitive and people still have lives and expenses (personal and family) to meet. you can go work elsewhere if you think this salary is too high

Or maybe YOU should go elsewhere if you want money. Go to mskinsey or blackrock or whatever and stop
using « ending poverty » as you career booster at the cost of people’s lives.
