DD02 seems to have completely blown a gasket
Yes. I have lost my temper.
I hate the CCP and Xi as much as all of you do. But if you say the mainland Chinese culture is Soviet culture, then you really need to know more about the Chinese. We are different. For a starter, USSR went full centralization with their economy; we didn't.
I really don't want to waste my time here anymore. Go ahead. Say the Chinese culture is Soviet. I am too small in comparison to general public opinions, be it in China or in the west.
And again. F**k all of you.

its not soviet economically, its soviet in the sense that you are living in a post-culture society since every single hint of your traditional values, institutions and spiritually was destroyed in a few decades of left wing idiocy, leaving the people in the country with nothing higher than themselves to live for.DD02 seems to have completely blown a gasket

Like I said, you guys knew too little about the Chinese.
A depressed society with no free arts, of course. Damn it they don't even have the freedom of speech. But every society, even under complete imperial dictatorship, has its arts. Some arts are better, that I agree. Chinese paintings and chinas are known to be more beautiful in an relatively open dynasty.
But if you go ahead and label the Chinese culture as Soviet because we did stupid things like Cultural Revolution because a lot us appear to be ruthless and spinelss. Let me tell you this, as much as I would want to agree with you, this is racist. And as a Chinese, what all I can do is to live my principle and change that mindset at least for people around me.
Again. F**k all racists.

\bridgewater has published a 30 mins video on exactly this.
you can see what china had been in the last 500 years.
"China was always the most powerful country or one of the most powerful countries".
But Bridgewater's China video doesn't fit my narrative that we are superior.

Again. F**k all racists. The “racist card” here is a cheap, hollow ploy. Observations about culture are not racist. Or do you think all of sociology and much of anthropology and political science are inherently racist? No, obviously not.

What will be the end game for Hong Kong?
At this point, I don't see anything besides a massacre as the next major step. And I don't think that will work, the international outcry will be huge and the backlash in HK will be horrible. But Xi does not think any other way.
-
And I continue to think he will be replaced in 2022. He is powerful, but the party is vast and it won't tolerate failure forever. In addition to slowing growth and the trade war, if his mishandling of the situation in HK gets even worse, I think he's likely to be ousted.
