When will AI eliminate construction? Which provides the majority of blue collar mddle class jobs in America

The middle class is kind of dying right now. People are being pushed into dead end crappy jobs, even people with degrees. If UBI doesn't happen, then we'll get socialist policies like a guaranteed job or some other insanity. People actually believe that it's better to have a fake job paying you 50K a year instead of getting 12k to do nothing at all. The entire point of automation, AI, etc. is to work less and to value leisure. But americans are so brainwashed into thinking that a person's entire value is based on his job title. We have people walking around campus right now who are utterly useless individuals but they are proud of themselves because they have a fancy title and salary provided by student tuition, endowment and the government.
^ It's not necessarily that unemployment will rise drastically. If you automate trucking, then goods become cheaper which means that people will be able to spend on other things like maybe going to the restaurant more often. Now the truckers are going to try to fill the jobs available, like cook or waiter. But these jobs don't pay as well. In other words, the middle class is going to get crushed if AI turns out to work. The monthly stipend simply allows the ex-trucker to retain his old standard of living despite having a crappier job.
But how are you going to pay for it? Massively taxing the "middle class"? Or some other source?

Economists aren't against UBI ideologically, they are against it because it is a very blunt instrument. It is simply a tax cut implemented in an inefficient way. Economists would be much more in favor of universal guaranteed income to address the issues he brings up.

It's nice to see the true motivation behind his campaign. He wants to protect his precious high IQ asian kids from a mob of white people.
for those who thought about voting for him, think again:
