   guys the department had 29 men and 1 woman for a long time. it's a few more but there's a real struggle to recruit more women. many turn down Zurich offers for comparable US offers
   say what you want about discrimination but 29/1 doesn't look good to anyone

    Let's assume that the previous situation was due to discrimination by the previous generation (pretty sure it wasn't but let's assume it). Does it justify discriminating the next generation? The actual generation of men who have succeeded will get a better conscience by keeping their job and discriminating against the young men? And then in 20 years, we will discriminate against women?

    I can see your point for people like Voth or Yanagizawa, but they do have serious and respected people like Scheuer or Jaimovich who certainly aren‘t into playing games.

    Men should identify as tr/an/s women. You don't even need to get a psychiatrist to verify anything, you just need to self identify as one, bonus points if you dress the part. Cosplay with a wig, crossdress in skirts and blouses. If they don't let you past the interview stage, accuse them of se/x/ism or tr/a/ns/pho/bia.

    After getting the post, continue identifying as female. You can drop the dressing if you want, except at departmental meetings or dinners where you need to play the part of the true diversity candidate. After tenure, feel free to drop the act completely and call yourself "detransitioned." If by then, you have developed a f/e/t/ish for cross dressing in public, then you be you and feel free to continue. Remember, if Lia Thomas can do it while enjoying *her*self, then so can you. A thicker skin is all you need for succeeding.
